Letting Go To Spark Clarity & Insight

Writer: Joy OnyschakJoy Onyschak

"Change is in the air, as old patterns fall away and new energies are emerging. Consciously release what needs to be released, and welcome with a full embrace the newness you've prayed for and so richly deserve." - Marianne Williamson

I began studying Numa Breathwork with Trevor Yelich of Numa Somatics Sept 2019. This work found me and through it I was able to realize and release old, unconscious grief that was stuck in my body. I realized habitual default patterns, met resistance, and the autopilots that create my daily decisions and reactions.

Without knowing it, these things get in the way of our clarity and living our fullest, happiest life.

This work has many benefits, including;

  • Improved respiratory function (oxygenation & detoxification)

  • Resolution of repressed emotions and limiting beliefs

  • Reduced of anxiety and improved stress tolerance

  • Improved resourcing and self-regulation in times of stress and trauma resolution

  • Experiencing trust, aliveness and joy

  • Insight into realities of life

"...our breathing reacts to any impact on us. We hold our breath when shocked, we restrain it under stress, and it is stimulated by joy. It is not the aim of breathing work, not is it possible, to have one's breathing unaffected by life or to avoid life's problems. On the contrary, contact with your breathing will make you more open to life's experiences. It will give you resilience to cope with life's challenges and to enjoy it's pleasures...' - Ways to Better Breathing by Carola Speads

As my own personal journey with this work unfolds, I continue to experience insights into myself, reveal layers of resistance, and move forward into new possibilities. Using this simple, yet profound practice of conscious, connected breathwork, I'm re-patterning myself with trust that my body knows the way. To clarity and insight.
