Develop your habit hunting skills to identify your clients' dysfunctional breathing habits.

Lead clients through simple self-assessment tools to create awareness of dysfunctional breathing habits, disordered breathing patterns or mechanical limitations.

Increase your confidence with high, low and no tech assessment tools

Explain, mirror and explore reflexive, functional breathing behaviour and mechanics to clients.

Explain and demonstrate an Open Healthy Breath to clients.

Who is this training for? Pre-requisites
Manual therapists, psychotherapists/counsellors, school counsellors, psychologists, nurses who have taken Functional Breathing Reset Level 1 (or equivalent) and want to develop their skills integrating this knowledge into client sessions.

Emphasis on partner work to practice assessing, educating and guiding clients with the use of capnography and 'low to no tech tools'.

Continued personal exploration of breathing habits, state change, and recovery techniques (including a 1 hour guided group breathwork journey)

Somatic practices to increase embodied self awareness

Trauma-informed sequencing ~ the science and art of guiding clients inward.

Updated manual & new educational handouts for clients

Lunch, snacks, tea and coffee (we are on our own for Saturday night supper)

Digestion time in nature (14 treed acres with walking paths)

Meet Your Facilitators

Lisa 'LV' Kusch
Saskatoon, SK
LV provides a psychophysiological approach to breathing, wellness, recovery, and mental health using a sensory-motor model. Specializing in behavioral biofeedback & Somatic Breath Therapy, she provides integrative tools for recovery.
Formerly a mid-wife, she is a registered psychotherapist (CPPA), CBBA (Certified Breathing Behavior Analyst) and completed a masters degree in Applied Breathing Sciences through the Graduate School of Behavioral Health Sciences.
LV also completed 1500 hours of training as a breathwork facilitator/trainer in accordance with the Global Professional Breathwork Association, is the Canadian National Representative to the International Breathwork Foundation, and serves on the IBF science and research committee.
Lisa is loved for her playful, creative and generous teaching style and respected as a mentor to many professional breathwork facilitators.

Joy Onyschak
Winnipeg, MB
Joy has a passion for helping people recovering from chronic stress and trauma befriend their bodies and restore self-trust through felt sense.
She is a Certified Breathing Behavior Analyst, Somatic Practitioner, Circle Way Host and Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator with advanced training in working with clients recovering from trauma.
She has 15 years experience leading groups and individuals back home to themselves through yoga, Bodymind Ballwork, Somatic Movement and Breathwork.
In addition to her 1:1 practice, she co-hosts intimate retreats and events that are meaningful, nourishing, and create connection.
Known for being authentic and welcoming, Joy co-creates safe and brave learning environments where collective wisdom arises out of the shared learning experience.
