Explore and release tension and cultivate mindfulness with Bodymind Ballwork techniques (mindful myofascial release using various sizes and densities of rubber balls). We will explore different common tension areas each week. No prior experience necessary - just bring your stiffness! Class is primarily ball work with some mindful stretching, range of motion exploration and somatic unwinding to soften and revitalize your tissues. Each week, we'll explore different parts of the body and common tension areas. Equipment: You will need a strap/belt (housecoat strap works), yoga block (a few text book stacked also works), a few cushions (if you have foam blocks or yoga bolster, bring them). You will also need these balls; -2-3" balls (preferably rubber/plastic with grip, but tennis balls will work), - At least 1-5" ball (2 is ideal) Also recommended; -1 1/2 " hand/foot ball (harder pressure, maybe with nubs/spikes) -1 1/2' soft ball for face/jaw -4" soft ring ball or polyfoam (for those who need softer pressure for back and shoulders) - Balls are available for purchase from Joy (St. Vital, Winnipeg pick up) Visit https:www.joysomatics.ca/store for more info/to order.
