Time away from the go-go pace of your life where you can slow down, tune in, and reconnect with your own rhythm and pace.
A space away from the distractions where you can unwind or focus.
A container to practice holding space for yourself and reconnect to your own needs
Quiet place to focus on a project (art, writing etc)
A place where you can give yourself permission to do less.
A homebase for exploring south-central Manitoba
Perfect for artists, writers, caregivers, therapists, knowledge keepers, and stressed out professionals who need a nervous system reset.

A container for going inward
Shared bathroom & kitchen
All linens, towels, shampoo etc
Opening Circle Friday evening to set intentions & communicate needs
5 nourishing meals (most locally sourced)
Guided, private somatic session (Friday or Sunday afternoon -must be scheduled in advance)
Wood-burning sauna can be arranged (additional cost between guests)
Esthetics and body treatments by Deep Roots Spa in Manitou (booked seperately - 10 minute drive)
Longer stays can be arranged.

Recently renovated, 70 yr old farmhouse on private, treed 7.5 acres
Features: New pillow-top queen & double mattresses.
Spacious, modern, shared washrooms
wifi (no TV), wood-burning stove
No pets on site - just the birds, fox and deer.
Limited space - 3 rooms (3-5 guests)
Fees: $275 per individual
$395 per couple/shared accomodation

Meet your host, Joy Onyschak
As a trauma-informed somatic guide and nervous system coach, Joy helps people with nervous system regulation, weaving somatic movement, breathwork & circle into unique classes, courses, 1:1 sessions & intimate retreats.
Joy grew up in the Pembina Valley, and spent a great deal of time on this property that belonged to her late Uncle. Her & her husband, Matt, restored it in the fall of 2021 with the intention of hosting others so they can experience the benefits of quiet, connection and slowing down.
